​1962 Ashley 1172

Registration No. 3089 TD

This Ashley 1172 was on an old Ashley car Registration list
that I had been given many years ago and it was indicated as being
mounted on a Halifax Chassis, with possibly Ford engine, gearbox, the running gear and other parts being used.

​Checking with the DVLA and it appears not to have been transferred
​onto their electronic Database back
in the late 1970's.

However the motor vehicle registration indicates that it was issued
in between May & September 1962 by the
County Council of Lancaster, Lancashire.

​The entry on the list gives no indication as to the Body Colour
but it does refer to the Ashley being owned in the 1960's by a
Mr. R. Coupe of Widnes, Lancashire, was that the builder I wonder?

​So Mr. R. Coupe if you see this page, please contact me and supply me with further details of your time with the car
