This Ashley 1172 was on an old Ashley car Registration list
that I had been given many years ago and it was indicated as being
Ford based, with presumably the running gear, engine, gearbox and other parts being used.
It was listed as being owned from new (and again presumably built), by
one Vernon Howes, this was in 1995.
Checking with the DVLA and it appears not to have been taxed since January 1997
