This Ashley 1172 was on an old Ashley car Registration list
that I had been given many years ago and it was indicated as being
Ford Van based, with presumably the running gear, engine, gearbox and other parts being used.

​Checking with the DVLA and it appears not to have been transferred
​onto their electronic Database back
in the late 1970's.

However the motor vehicle registration indicates that it was issued
in August or September 1946 by the
County Council of the West Riding of Yorkshire.

The entry on the list gives no indication as to the Body Colour
but it does indicate that in 1962 a Mr. T. Walton of Yorkshire was the owner at that time and could possibly be the builder.​​

So Mr. T. Walton if you see this page, please contact me and supply me with further details of your time with the car
