This 1959 Ashley 1172 GT Hardtop Sports Car was unknown to me until early
November 2022
when I was surfing on the internet and found it
on another website titled
MidlandsPubs.co.uk
DVLA Registration Search.
I have not found any Current DVLA Registration Information so must assume it is no longer registered,
which means it has probably gone to the
"Great Specials carpark in the Sky"
I also checked in the
"History of Motor Vehicle Registration"
Bible and found that
the registration number was issued in June 1959
by the
County Borough Council of Birmingham.
From the Birmingham street photo above
it appears to be Ford based
1959 Ashley 1172 GT Hardtop Sports
Special with Ford running gear and
probably engine & gearbox too.
