1960 Ashley 1172

I have no photo's of this Ashley 1172 but I do know that it had a
Maroon body in 1969 and would have
looked a bit like the photo above.
I have not found any Current DLVA Registration Information that matches this car, (but it has been re-issued to a Vauxhall Corsa so must assume it is know longer around), most likely scrapped although
I guess it might still be in someone's backyard or old garage.
This car was seen by Trevor Pyman, (a very keen cyclist, car enthusiast and contributor to these Ashley websites),
back on 22th May 1969 in Chelmsford, Essex.
He saw it in a works parking space under the Chelmsford Telephone Exchange.
The registration details he found for it were very strange as
no date of registration or name and address of the owner were given, only a new Chassis No. REB594ECC as issued by the Essex C.C.
