Registration No. BMW 530

This Ashley 1172 was on an old Ashley car Registration list
that I had been given many years ago and it was indicated as being a
Ford chassis based car, with presumably ​the running gear, engine, gearbox and
​other parts being used.
However there was no mention of Model type,
so may have looked like either of the above.

​Checking with the DVLA and it appears not to have been transferred
​onto their electronic Database back
in the late 1970's.

However it's Registration Number was
​reissued
onto an new car, this time being a

​The Ashley's motor vehicle registration indicates that it was
​originally issued
in September 1939 by the
County Council of Wilts, Wiltshire.

Which would indicate that the donor Ford vehicle would have been
manufactured in Pre WWII UK, possibly an Anglia or Prefect.

The entry on the listing gives no indication as to the Body Colour,
but it does refer to the Ashley being owned ​in 1984 by a
Mr. T. Barrett-Kinsbury of Broadstairs, Kent.
