Ashley 1172 similar to PKN 418R,

This Ashley 1172 was listed with the FSCC Ashley Registry in early 1982.

At that time the car was owned by a
C. Bainbridge, in Crawley, Sussex.
He supplied one picture and some information as follows:

RED - Ford Ashley 1172GT - c/w Hardtop, Roll Cage
​                                      and Bucket Seats.

1951 Ford 10 Chassis No. C97952
Fitted with - Ballamy 15" wheels and I.F.S.

Ford 10HP E93A Engine No. RC156385
Fitted with - Aquaplane H/C Head, Twin SU carbs, 
               4 branch Exhaust Manifold & Kenlowe                   Cooling Fan.

Then in 1983 he sold it to Guy Lachlan in Caxton, Cambridgeshire.
As a side note Guy's brother had built an Ashley in 1962, it's Registration was 479 DJJ but there is no DVLA eData available for it now.

He in turn sold it in 1984 to a chap in Wales but no name was given.
